Empower Her For Africa Development Initiative Conducts Pre-Qualification Assessment for Scholarship Enrollment
Empower Her For Sustainable Development Initiative in Africa, an NGO focused on the empowerment of women and girls, successfully conducted a pre-qualification assessment for its scholarship program on Tuesday, September 24, for girls in both junior and senior secondary school categories.
The assessment, held in the Sabon-Lugbe/ACO area, was designed to determine the eligibility of over 20 students for the Empower Her Scholarship program, which aims to enroll out-of-school girls in the 2024/25 academic session.
Charlene Makai, Founder and Executive Director of the NGO, expressed her satisfaction with the smooth execution of the event saying “Today’s assessment exercise was seamless and successful. We appreciate those who made time to assist in the exercise.”
The pre-qualification assessment is set to continue later in the week, with additional dates and venues to be announced soon. The initiative underscores the organization’s commitment to improving access to education for vulnerable girls across the country.
As part of its efforts, Empower Her For Africa Development Initiative is calling on well-meaning Nigerians and development partners to donate and support this initiative. The funds raised will help cover the costs of sending these out-of-school girls to school, ensuring that they have a chance at a brighter future through education.
For those interested in supporting this cause, donations and further assistance are being solicited to enable the organization to reach more girls in need.
